March has certainly come in—and appears to be going out—like a lion! This past month has been packed with travel, advocacy, and important conversations on school safety, the second amendment, and faith.

Early in the month, I traveled to Nashville to film an impactful segment for Moms for Liberty University, focusing specifically on Restorative Justice. Joining me in this important dialogue were Rhyen Staley of Parents Defending Education and Former Sheriff Mark Lamb from Arizona. Our discussion emphasized the critical need for effective discipline policies that genuinely protect our schools and support student well-being.

Following that, I attended the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) conference in New Orleans. This provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with educators, administrators, and school safety leaders from around the nation, exchanging ideas and strategies to foster safer learning environments.

I was honored to share that I recently appeared on the “We The People” podcast with host Gates Garcia. In this heartfelt conversation, I discussed my journey as a school safety advocate, my role on the Florida State Board of Education, and the enduring legacy of my daughter, Alaina, who was tragically taken in the Parkland shooting.

During the episode, Gates and I delved into the systemic failures that led to the tragedy, the importance of faith and resilience in healing, and the actionable steps we can take to enhance school safety across the nation. It was a profound discussion aimed at turning grief into purpose and ensuring that no other family has to endure such a loss.

I invite you to watch or listen to the episode and join us in this critical conversation about safeguarding our schools and communities. Your support and engagement are invaluable as we continue to advocate for meaningful change.

Finally, today I joined the Iowa Firearms Coalition for their Warrior Wednesday podcast, where we discussed the Parkland tragedy, the response and aftermath and lessons learned in how to protect our schools. This episode will air in a couple of weeks—stay tuned, as I'll share the links when it's released!

Thank you for being part of this journey.
